How Do You Pack Your Pack?

When it comes to getting your pack ready for a trip, there are common tips everyone knows: Keep it as light as you can, heavy stuff at the bottom, and always carry emergency gear.

Inspired by this graphic we found floating around on Pinterest, we put our brains together to come up with a few Insider Tips

BackPackerChecklist1) Instead of packing TP on it's rolle, remove the inner cardboard & flatten the roll down. Also, carry what you think you will need for the trip you're taking versus an entire roll.

2) In lieu of pounds of extra batteries, consider one of the many solar charging options and lightweight rechargable AA and AAA batteries. You can usually charge camera batteries with solar as well, with the right adapter

3) Purification Tablets, signal devices, and a small fire starting kit should be kept in a seperate survival mini-bag that you can take with you on day hikes. Don't be caught 3 miles from camp without essential survival tools.

4) Instead of heavy stove fuel, consider building a penny stove or investing in a tried and true wood burning stove (if your travel area is likely to have timber available)

5) Foam pads an inexpensive option for sleepinb, but investing a little more can yield a much better nights sleep.
